Is it time to focus on you?

2020 has been a crazy year that no-one saw coming and feels like it’s gone on for about 3 years now.  Anyone who predicted this mad year would’ve been shouted down as a complete lunatic but then things started to go wrong…

But now we’re here – it’s nearly November and the human race has proved it is resilient and can adapt to nearly anything that comes along.

We can’t change what’s gone on in the past so it seems silly to be dwelling on it and thinking about what could’ve or should’ve happened.

A better way of looking at things is to focus on the present and the future, and focus on what you can control.  Everything else is a waste of your time and energy.

So, what can you control?

You can control how much exercise you do on a daily basis.

You can control your choices around food.

You can control how you choose to spend your time.

You can control who you choose to spend time with.

All these things are focusing on you and keeping yourself healthy and sane – so let go of the other stuff and look inwardly.

Maybe it’s time you started doing a bit more exercise.  It could be going out for a walk at lunchtime or 10 minutes of press ups and sit ups when you get up in the morning (we even have one member who has made it part of her routine to do burpees while she waits for the kettle to boil!).  It could even be joining a gym of like minded people like SC FIT.

Maybe it’s time to start to make better choices around food.  You can try this solo or you can reach out and we can help you.

Maybe you could look at all the time you spend ‘relaxing’ in the week and repurpose some of that away from being sedentary and into something a bit more active.

Maybe being away from loads of people for so long has given you clarity about who you now want to spend time with instead of being stuck in a routine of seeing the same people day in and day out without thinking about it.  If you’re working from home and now you only see people socially make sure that you choose them wisely!
